SoulFood
Andrea Riccio
SoulFood is a multi-disciplinary project that was conceived in 2008 in Rome and centres upon the environmental, social and cultural dimension of food. Scientists, jugglers, actors and musicians have shared their contributions and stories with a multi-disciplinary, multi-sector and multi-colour approach.

There are many questions that stand at the origin of Soul Food: what is food? What are the dynamics put into play by society? What are its meanings and symbolic values? Assuming that ‘we are what we eat’, SoulFood informs, questions and reflects on a sustainable food and agricultural model. Where ‘sustainable’ is not only a word but also an action that crosses all aspects of life: the environment, society, politics and economy.

A slow-paced civic education, where the quality of what we produce and the way we consume it can be a driver towards a fair, supportive and green future.
