John Mpaliza

mpaliza-john

John Mpaliza is an Italian-Congolese activist who has been travelling around Italy and the rest of Europe on foot for 4 years, with the aim of raising public awareness about the tragedy that the Congolese people have been going through for about 20 years, a situation that concerns us very closely as users of technology.
John tries to explain to young people in schools and universities, and to all the people he meets, that for many Congolese their life depends on whether we turn on our mobile phone in the morning. In fact, it can be seen from the various statistics that 80% of the world production and world reserves of coltan are in the DRC and, without coltan it would be like going back to the Stone Age for technology.
John walked across Spain to Santiago di Compostela in 2010 and then from Reggio Emilia to Rome in 2011, from Reggio Emilia to Brussels in 2012, from Reggio Emilia to Padua and from Reggio Emilio to Verona in 2014 and at present is walking from Reggio Emilia to Reggio Calabria, always for peace and justice in the DRC and Syria, a march for life and for world peace.
