Giovanni Comandè

Prof. Dr. Giovanni Comandé, LL.M. (Harvard), Esq., is full Professor of Private Comparative Law at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, in Pisa (Italy). He is the co-founder and director of LIDER-Lab (www.lider-lab.org). He has led research projects approved and funded by national, international, public and private entities such as Italian CNR and MIUR, the European Science Foundation, the European Union, private foundations, banks and regulators. Among other things, he is the author of monographs on tort law, medical law, e-commerce and Privacy, editor or co-editor of collective works, several articles and notes published in Italian, Spanish, English and French, on topics such as medical malpractice and insurance, privacy and e-commerce, tort law, information-technology, health law.

He is a member of both the New York Bar and the Italian State Bar in Pisa, the American Law Institute, the European Law Institute, the ECTIL, and the European Tort Law Group. His areas of interest currently revolve around comparative law, tort, European private law, insurance law, information society law, bio-right and life sciences, health and the law.
