Camilla Coletti

Camilla Coletti is a researcher at the Italian Institute of Technology at the NEST Laboratory in Pisa, where she has been working since April 2011. After graduating in Electrical Engineering at the University of Perugia in 2004 she moved to Tampa (USA) where she completed her PhD at the University of South Florida. From 2008 to 2011 she was a Humboldt postdoctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute of Stuttgart (Germany) where she specialised in the growth, characterisation and functionalization of graphene. Her current areas of research are the synthesis of highly crystalline planar graphene and its potential applications in the fields of biomedicine and hydrogen storage. She also researches the growth of two-dimensional heterostructures and their potential applications in the field of flexible electronics. She is the author of over 30 peer-reviewed articles, 3 book chapters, 1 patent in the USA and she is actively involved with the 10-year European “Graphene Flagship” project.
