Stefano Pepe

Stefano Pepe has been mad about computers, the Internet and new technology since he was a child and has followed the evolution of the World Wide Web from the start, turning his curiosity and interest into a full-time job.

At present he works in the area of consultancy and new technologies at IQUII, for which he carries out work focussed on the mobile, social and wearable sectors, and also in the area of cryptocurrencies, as co-founder and member of the board of the Bitcoin Foundation Association Italy.

His role at the association is connected to popularising the Bitcoin phenomenon, with particular attention to the business aspects for medium to large companies.
Among the initiatives he runs personally there is Bitquota, a crowdfunding platform based on shares and donations through cryptocurrencies; 37Coins, for which he manages the Italian gateway; and the Roman community meet-up, a weekly appointment that journalists and entrepreneurs interested in the phenomenon often take part in.
