Mirko Tavosanis (Karlsruhe, 1968) is a Research Fellow in Italian Linguistics at the University of Pisa for the Department of Philology, Literature, and Linguistics.
Since 2011 he has been the Director of the ICoN, an inter-university consortium focused on promoting Italian language and culture on the Net. His research principally focuses on the relationship between grammar studies and print publishing in the 16th century.
His last book, L’italiano del web (Roma, Carrocci, 2011) describes the actual language used by the Italian people in different text genres on the web.
