Giovanni Vozzi, an electronics engineer with a PhD in Bio-engineering, is a researcher into Industrial Bio-engineering at the University of Pisa.
Author of more than 70 articles in International magazines
(h-index=18) and of various patents, he is one of the members of the directory board of the international company Biofabrication. His main areas of interest for research run from the development of new technologies of micro- and nano-manufacturing to their application in biomedical engineering, in particular Tissue Engineering and biosensors.
Along with his research group he also works on designing new systems for creating polymeric structures and three-dimensional compositions, designing and developing new environments for dynamic cell culture, such as the 3D gradient generator, designing and characterising biomaterials, and developing models of virtual cells for computer simulation and in vitro experiments.
