Aurora (born 1984) is a designer interested in the relationship between design, social media and education. Since 2012 she has been working on the Whoami education programme (a collaboration between IdLab and Abadir), a project extolling a blended learning model, that is, using a combination of online and offline activities to debate the contemporary world of knowledge.
Since 2013 she has been a Partner and Sole Director of IdLab, a design business focusing its energies on education and the potential transformations that new media may bring. Aurora works as a project coordinator at IdLab. She is also a coordinator at the Abadir Academy of Design and Visual Art for the Masters in Relational Design and Machine Design; these degree programmes have an unusual syllabus that relies on both the real and the digital worlds to provide a full education experience.
Whoami sponsors both Master programmes. Aurora has a degree in Industrial Design from the Turin Polytechnic and a Master of Science in Interaction Design from Delft University of Technology (TUDelf), attained in 2012.
She has also studied at Konstfack University, at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and at the Tongji University of Shanghai.
