Diretor and screenwriter Gabriele Salvatores was born in Naples the 30th July 1950.

He reached international acclaim in 1991 for the film “Mediterraneo” (with Diego Abatantuono, Ugo Conti and Claudio Bisio), which won an Oscar for best foreign language film.
