Maurizio Napolitano coordinator of the exploratory project Digital Commons Lab of the Bruno Kessler Foundation (FBK) – an official node of the Open Data Institute UK.
He is involved in studying, analysing and evaluating projects for the sharing of knowledge such as Wikipedia, OpenStreetMap and the open software and open data movements with particular focus on geographical information.
Very active in the open data community, he represents the Open Knowledge Foundation in Italy. Since 2013 he has been a member of the scientific committee for the Digital Agenda for the Emilia-Romagna Region. In his rare moments of free time he is a volleyball coach with experience in Austria (2 seasons in Serie A) and Italy (more than 20 years’ activity with both junior and senior teams, men’s and women’s in divisions B2 and C) and is also an official FIPAV instructor.
