Mauro Boni achieved a technical high-school diploma in surveying in 1981. He has worked at CNR since 1988 and has always dealt with occupational health and safety issues. In 2011 he was appointed Health and Safety Manager for Pisa’s CNR Research Area (including its 13 Institutes/Operating Units).
In 2013 he joined the “Fly & Sense” Workgroup that was created from the need to develop a system for the real time viewing and acquisition of air data with the aim to provide permanent support and meet CNR’s most diverse research needs. Together with his workgroup colleagues, he is currently involved in planning flight safety operations using SARP (Remotely Piloted Aircraft System).
