Her theoretical and clinical interests mainly focus on serious diseases with particular attention to mind-body aspects and sexuality, and to the dialogue between neurosciences and psychoanalysis. She has published a number of articles on these topics and taken part as lecturer in many national and international conferences.
She is the Scientific Secretary of the G. Guidi Centre for Studies on Architecture and Urban Planning (founded in 1986), located in Pisa, and within this context set up the ARCHITETTONICA-mente programme combining architecture, psychoanalysis and other disciplinary fields. The programme has led to publications in journals, books and video productions, as well as reports during both specialised and informative conferences.
