I have a degree in Medicine and Surgery and a Masters in Communication of Science. I have been a scientific journalist for more than ten years.
I work with Repubblica, Le Scienze, La Stampa, Wired.it and many others.
I have been working with Radio3 Scienza since 2005. In 2011 I was a correspondent for Cosmo, a science programme on Rai3 hosted by Barbara Serra. And between 2011 and 2013 I worked with Rai3 on Riccardo Iacona’s Presa Diretta.
I teach scientific journalism on the Masters course, Science in journalistic practice, at the Università La Sapienza in Rome and at the International School of Science Journalism in Erice.
I have published some books: the most important is “Why we like music” (Sironi Editore, 2007, 2012) which has been translated into French, English and Spanish. “Communicating Science”, written with Francesco Paolo de Ceglia for Carocci, was published in September 2013.
I wrote the documentary “Sign with me” (directed by Chiara Tarfano). I have received some prizes for it and for my journalism, including the Premio Piazzano for scientific journalism. I am the treasurer of the Swim – Science Writers in Italy association.
