Luciano Balbo, an entrepreneur with 20 years’ experience in the venture capital and private equity sector, set up Oltre Venture after a career that began in 2002 with the Fondazione Oltre, the first Italian Venture Philanthropy foundation.

Oltre Venture is the first Italian Impact Investing company, i.e. a company that invests in financially sustainable new initiatives whose primary objective is to have a positive social impact.

Luciano is co-founder of B&S Private Equity, one of the main Italian operators in the private equity sector. He previously held the role of CEO of Finnova (SO.PA.F spa), the first venture capital company in Italy. Luciano also boasts nine years’ management experience in major firms in the chemical and steel sectors.

A graduate in Physics from the Università degli Studi in Milan, he completed an MBA at the l’Università Bocconi.
